Hi Friends,

Even as I launch this today ( my 80th Birthday ), I realize that there is yet so much to say and do. There is just no time to look back, no time to wonder,"Will anyone read these pages?"

ALREADY HOSTED AS RESUME SEARCH ARCHIVAL

Search Resume (Pinpoint)

Rajeev
cc: Abhi, Vikram, Rahul

Date: 31-01-06

It will be a long time before 10,000 jobseekers register in IntekRecruiter by filling up “Structured” forms.

This means, for a long time to come, every time an HR manager conducts a “Resume Search (Conventional),” a message will flash:

“Sorry! No matching resumes found.”

He will not return for another try. He will also feel terribly cheated!

What is the use of ₹ Re. 1/- per resume when there are no resumes!

Worse, he will mention his “BAD BAD” experience to colleagues and professionals.
By word of mouth publicity, our reputation will get spoiled forever!

This is something we cannot afford. It could spell the death of Global Recruiter.

I therefore suggest:

For a few months (till we build up a large enough database of Structured Resumes), let us altogether remove “Resume Search (Conventional)”.

Let us offer to HR managers:

“Resume Search (Pinpoint or Sky-Search)” — as shown in the enclosed U/I.

This is possible because, using Gurumine, we have already extracted 118,000 resumes and uploaded them on our server.

While “extracting,” in 99.9% of the cases, we have managed to find values for:

  • Employing Company Name
  • Actual Designation (Current Job)

For “Resume Search (Pinpoint),” these are the only values we need.

These 2 things are enough to convince an HR manager whether the concerned executive’s resume would be worth reading / transferring to folder.

I am sure, in 3P’s database, there must be another 1 to 2 lakh text-format resumes which we can extract using Gurumine and upload.

We keep getting 20,000 resumes DAILY!

Do you foresee any problem?

Do you have any other suggestion?

If not — let us just give this a highest try.

(Signed)
