LAUNCHING OF EXTRANET SERVER SITE AS A "PRODUCT"

·     Now that our extranet site is ready, we have to "popularise" it. Best way to do this is by advertising in Times of India (along with ASCENT on Mondays - preferably the First - or third - page).

·     I enclose "drafts" of 2 - sets of advts.

       1) Those aimed at "candidates"

       

       2) Those aimed at "Personal Chiefs"

·     What we need urgently is to build up candidate database. That is priority # 1.

·     Once that happens we can invite the personnel chiefs to visit our Extranet to conduct on - line Head - hunt.

So in terms of priority, we need to release the candidate - related advts FIRST and then follow - up with personal - chief related Advts.

·     Pl. carefully study the draft advts. and enter your comments, if any, below each advts. Therefore I will get final drafts prepared.

·     The newspaper - advts are however, an expensive proposition!

·     We must, therefore, explore other "publicity, avenues" as well.

·     I list below some of these

1. Advertise in magazines published by Trade - bodies / professional Institutions (Trade Journals’ / Society mouth pieces)/ Chambers of Commerce etc.

Their advt. - tariff is quite low (as compared to TIMES). We should .

       - Make a list of these

- Write to them and find out their "tariff" as well as their    "circulation" figures.

We must also find out whether the "subscribers" are

       - Individual members or

       - Corporate members

This aspect will decide whether, we should publish

       - candidate - related advts. or

       - corporate - related advts.

    (2) Giving "DEMOS" to Corporate

       - This could be

·     At their own premises or

·     At a hotel where a group is invited

       - "Hotels" are expensive / very expensive

- "At their own premises" would cost us nothing, except our own time. However, we can reach only a few people at a time and it would be a long drawn - out process.

Of course, every time we got to meet a client, we should carry our laptop and give a demo

    (3) Holding Seminars

A seminar would comprise of Personnel Managers from several Companies.

Holding a Seminar in a hotel at our own cost would be very expensive.

So, we should get   hold of some professional organisation to "host/ organise/ arrange" such a seminar, and invite us to give a talk on the subject of "RECRUITMENT ON INTERNET/ EXTRANET"

    Such organization could be

       -Bombay Chamber of Commerce

       - NIPM

       - Indo - American Chamber

       - Indo German Chamber

       - Institution of Engineers

       - CSI etc. etc.

    Let these organizations may

       - book hotel room/ hire projection equipment

       - Publishes the event/ seminar

       - Collect "participation - fees"

       - Bear all expenses

We conduct the Seminar, give live demo and circulate literature / pamphlet / brochure (at our cost). For all of these, we do not ask the organisers for any reimbursement.

We get FREE PUBLICITY.

Organisers make Money.

This is good but how the demonstration can be seen by all at a time. Since when there are questions Cyril has to answer those.

It will cost us, say Rs. 3000/- to print 10,000 copies and distribute over a period of 6 months.

(5) Publicity in Colleges Send - out letters to college Principals asking them to display on their notice - boards.

Although students are our - target - audience, we get no immediate "return"

(6) Ask Newspapers/ Magazines to "review" our site  This is being done. This gives "Free" publicity & prestige

(7) Get "journalists" to interviews Nirmit & Publish such interviews.

    (8) Get TV Channels to Interview Nirmit

(9) Run a live weekly DEMO PROGRAM on IN - MUMBAI TV channel. Convince IN - MUMBAI how they will stand to "gain" thru sucha "LIVE DEMO" program of immense interest to all executive JOB - SEEKERS!

    Please jot down your own ideas in enclosed sheets.

(1) To start with we immediately start sending information about Extranet with our every letter/ correspondence to client & EDS to executive

    (2) In a magazine small ad will not get noticed.

(3) We can print a "Book mark" & distribute amongst the executives attending at diff venues in MUMBAI to start with

    (4) Slide in cinema Hall.

(5) College like NM/ Bajaj/ who conduct classes part time post graduate management courses are mainly the executers at different levels our peon personally go to these institute an say Saturday evening & header the leaflet/ bookmark.
