Hi Friends,

Even as I launch this today ( my 80th Birthday ), I realize that there is yet so much to say and do. There is just no time to look back, no time to wonder,"Will anyone read these pages?"

With regards,

4 million Resumes ?

Search Method

Document

Job Advert

Resume

Conventional

We don’t have Structured Job Advt

We don’t have Structured Resume

Archival

We have approx 7 lakh Job Advt

We may have 1.8 Lakh + ( ? ) ≈ 2.0 L ( as of 4 / 2005 )

To launch ARJ, at the minimum, we need

1️ Admin Tool

2️ Job-Search – Archival

3️ Resume Search

No problem if “Job-Posting Archival” is not ready – Corporates can still use our conventional Job-Posting method / UI.

For Resume Posting, candidates in any case have to use our Submit-Resume Form.

There is no worry on “Job Advt” front.

We will go on adding into AR database those 2000 + job adverts which we are daily downloading from Naukri.

Hence jobseekers will get plenty of fresh jobs for searching.

But what will

→ attract partner websites to become “partners” in the first place

→ attract corporates to become “subscribers”

is RESUME DATABASE.

We will have 1.8 L + (maybe) 2.0 L to start with –

Barely enough.

We need a MILLION !

That made us think of “Recharge Your Prepaid A/c Free.”

It may “appeal” to corporates.

It may even “interest” them.

But,
it will not “compel” them to donate to us those millions of text resumes lying on their hard disks!

They need to be made an IRRESISTIBLE OFFER.

For this, my idea is:

Offer to convert their text resumes — for FREE — into structured database, using GumMine.

Let them upload their text resumes (“Bulk Upload” feature in RecruitGum) on any partner website.
Then, after a period, come back and download the structured database created by GumMine.

Then offer them “free” download of our search engine — GumSearch

(What use is a “structured” database without a matching search engine?)

Now they have on their hard disk:

– Structured Resume Database

– A fantastic Search Engine

in return for “donating” to us those millions of text resumes!

(only UNIQUE ones)

I think they will bite.

See enclosed Alt #1 / #2 / #3.

Although very important, this is a low priority item (v2.0).

First let us simply launch GR!
