·         We are not getting either enough resumes or enough job-advts on our website.

 

POSSIBLE REASONS

·         Our resumes-forms & our job-advt forms are too long and or too complicated

·         Our forms take too long to download

·         We have not adequately publicised our Web-based match-making Capabilities amongst Corporate & Job seekers.

·         Our Job-alert / candidates alert messages are not clear enough

·         Our Job alerts / Candidates alert messages require the jobseeker / recruiter to comeback & log into our website in order to see/view

·         Our Business – model hides the identify of –

1)      Jobseeker from recruiter

2)      Recruiter from jobseeker

·         Our “Professional fees” are not clear/transparent UP-FRONT, on website only deep-down, a small/vague write-up is lying hidden.

In absence of total clarify of what thy would end-up “Paying” to us, the jobseekers & recruiters may be hesitating to submit resumes / job advts on our website.

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS

Whereas each of these issues will need to be separately analysed and addressed, in depth, I want to first-and- foremost- take up the issue of PUBLICITY for want of enough funds, we are unable to launch a major publicity campaign in PRINT media.

For this reason, we have adopted the strategy of NETWORKING / ALLIANCES.

One Solution which I Would like to immediately implements is VIRAL MARKETING

My plan Consists of

·         Get hold of ¾ dataentry vendors

·         Get each of them to enter and upload on our website, 100/150 job-advts, picked up from various newspapers/magazines.

·         To begin with these will be only IT-Indusrty Job-advts.

·         Target to upload 500 job-advts per day (15000 per month)

·         Such job-advts. May even be picked up from other job-sites, if possible/Convenients.

·         Once this process picks – up speed, gradually start deleting old advts. ( Chronologically) from our websites. Once we reach an uploading rate ( of fresh advts.) of 500/- day we must ensure that no job-advt. remains “live” for more than 30 days.

·         Although we will not reveal the identity of the advertising Company to the job-seekers, we must display

a)       Source ( Media) Name

b)      Date of Advt.

This will assure the jobseekers that we are not uploading “fictitions” advts.

·         Data entry Vendors should be able to enter these job-advts OFFLINE and then upload all, at one go, at the end of the day.

This requirement is very critical

·         Job Advt. must carry the unique “code” of the Data-entry Vendor ( which gets linked with each advt. no generated ), so that we know whom to pay for which job-advt.

Vendor-wise / date wise/month wise/publication-wise/ corporate advertiser name wise/ position wise / function wise / Industry wise/ Design – level wise/ Edu. Quali wise/ Age wise/ city wise / Country wise / Salary wise.

Statistics must be generated

·         we are asking too many questions (fields) which the advertiser does not see or fell have any relevance to the job advertise. for example in block executives we are asking name or designation of chief Executive.

I feel we should delete this from here and incorporate the same in a separate ( proposed) feature or functionality called

we should make this an HTML page whichever partner website code straight abhi post on it's own website. they can prepare a new page Whit new position as often as they wish.

Placement Agencies

 

I went through the write up which I gave you and you have uploaded once again placing myself in the position of a placement agency. The following questions came to my mind:

how do I submit or upload resume ?

How do I subsequently verify that in reality this have actually got uploaded ?

How can I check for myself independent of you are assurance that name or contact information is not visible to a recruiter when he shot display or long display ?

can I see how they will appear or look preview button ?

What do I have to do, to edit this resume ?

What will happen when I enter my user ID or password in the allies login? What page it will take Me to ? What will I find on Backpage?

When I upload resume how can I be sure that it is registered or recorded against my name?

How can I be sure that 3P will not contact my candidate directly bypassing me? Can I leave contact information blocs blank while entering the resume?

I feel we need to incorporate in our right up the answer  to this question. In the following pages, I have tried to do this to the best of my understanding of how's your software design works. If I'm wrong or inaccurate in any of these answers I request you to modify or correct the same before uploading on the placement agencies page.

Question 1. how do I upload or submit resume?

Answer - step one on the homepage in the allies login box, enter username and password and click on go.

The page which will open has following links:

·         submit resume ( placement agency )

·         edit resume ( placement agency )

·         will you work statistics ( all type of allies )

·         select industry or function ( only for partner websites)

when you click on submit resume you will see following links:

·         IT professionals

·         non IT professionals

·         fresh graduates

·         college students

 

depending upon which type of resume you wish to upload, click on the relevant link. This will open up the concerned submit resume form now start typing in the data.

 

Question 2. how do I subsequently verify that, in reality the resumes which I entered, have actually got uploaded?

Answer - on your own conduct a mock resume a search on our website. Printer exactly the same search parameter search criteria as those of you are candidate. If done carefully, he or She is bound to get shortlisted by our search engine.

thereafter, when the short display appears upon clicking submit button you will find that the name or contact information for all candidates get replaced by permanent executive number ( P E N) by clicking on this pen, you will get to see the full resume of the candidate. Once again you will find that the name or contact information is not revated .

to be 100% sure click on the preview button after entering the resume. Then you know for sure what an online recruiter gates to see on your website.

 

Question 4. what do I have to do to edit the resume submitted or uploaded by me?

 

Answer - as mentioned earlier after logging in through the allies box on the homepage, click on link edit resume ( placement agency ). it will take you to a page with following tabulation.

Answer - while filling in or typing in the submit resume form, you should fill in the in the contact information box your own address or phone number or email ID etc.

global ensure that if and when you were candidate get shortlisted by an online recruiters or by hours during on offline search there is no way we quote contact him or her directly.

for a long time I have thought of a desired software spider that can go visit all kind of job sites on the web to begin with Indian job sites and download resume or job advertise.

Mr Aatish Dedhia does exactly this, aggregate advertise from hundreds of corporate website with their prior permission aggregate days in a common database structure and supply as a service provider to monster.com he will not sell this software to us.

when Nirmat visited world conference of Internet recruiters in New York some 3 or 4 months back he came across several companies selling such a tailor made software meant for job sites. I have forwarded to Mr Nagle literature of one such a software.

a couple of days back I came across availability offer similar software on www.Lexilot.com , Which cost $90. As discussed this morning please download 30 days free trial version of rigorously test app for downloading it related job advertise first priority and it related resume second priority. Start with Indian job side a list of which I have sent to abhi. Then move on to USA website.

I would like you to give me daily feedback so that we can learn or decide how to go about on long term basis.

In OES, there are 20 plus input Screens. Have you figure out which screen has to be entered by whom? unless you figure this out and fix responsibilities of each and every of our staff members in advance everybody will think, someone else will take care. With no one taking care. not only you should fix this responsibility in writing but you should also monitor it.

Magic cube search

 

last week, Garmin tried to demonstrate our magic cube search to a party in New York.

it's just did not work after clicking on the sale the short display just did not appear. It was a very very embarrassing.

then I decided to try if this morning I enclose my findings.

I feel there is something seriously wrong either with our server or with our software or with both. The norm on the www is: no suffer will stick around for more than 6 seconds for a page to download. this morning I could not even login to allies login after waiting for 4 minutes.

this requires your urgent attention.

yesterday I quickly went them our website and found that you have added counters below

it wont book much better if days are box has shown above. Then this what role I look like counters as on a  petrol pump.

I suppose this counters change or rotate or go up everytime on new resume gets posted, I mean we should not have to update the counters through manual intervention as we were doing 2 years back.

Please confirm that the counters below IT executive search and non IT executive search display only relevant resume is Anna tall resumes you will recall that in one of my earlier notes I had requested that discounters should also appear at the bottom of the post your job advertise page reason?

By doing this we are trying to induce the recruiter to also conductor resume search while he is on our website. I have also seen that you have put up the message below the counters should be not elaborate the message to explain why other also appears again as others because of differences is spelling?

On our website we should try our best to remove at least apparent contradictions.

I find that this have still to be implemented.
