Resume Blasting

Most jobsites do this for a small fee-but to a predetermined/fixed no. of: - Placement Agencies - Corporates

WWJ shall not engage in omnibus resume-blasting-but to begin with, will encourage candidates to email their Presentation to thousands of corporates, directly on their own to ensure that "Image Builder" becomes THE INDUSTRY STANDARD.

Resume Alert

I don't think, today, any jobsite offers a feature whereby Corporates receive an ALERT (email or SMS) when a new candidate registering, matches a Company's "CANDIDATE PREFERENCE".

Just like "Job Preference" on WWJ (for candidates), on Recruitguru, We will introduce "Candidate Preference" for Corporates, who will receive CAM (Candidate Alert Mobile) as SMS, once a day, for all new candidates, matching their "Candidate Preferences".

Most jobsites send job alerts as emails. Half-loop-no interactivity. Need PC/Internet to receive in Mailbox.

WWJ will send job alerts on mobiles (JAM) - as SMS, once-a-day / PUSH. No need for PC/ Internet/wherever you go.

Apply Online

Possible on most jobsites - but after getting job alert email, jobseeker would need to log into concerned jobsite, locate that particular job and then click "Apply Online". This is a clumsy process. Also needs posting resume on several jobsites.

"Apply Online" directly from a candidate's mobile handset - while on the go. No login to any jobsite. Resume need to be posted on only one site Viz. WWJ.com.

Job Blasting

To my best knowledge, no jobsite offers this feature to Employers.

By Dec 2004, Recruitguru (after relaunch) will offer this feature to Corporate "Subscribers/Members". Using (modified) GuruSearch, employer-members, would zero-in a sharply targeted "Candidate - Profile Group" (City wise/agency/ function wise/designation wise etc). Then the employer will instruct/command Recruitguru to email its requirement (job-advt) to this target group as "email". Recruitguru will charge the Member/Employer, Rs. 5/ email per candidate for this, "JOB BLASTING" to the sharply targeted group.

Formation of like minded/ co-professionals' Communities for online Chatting-for common problem-solving/help/ guidance

I am not aware of any jobsite which permits/enables registered jobseekers (Members) to form "ONLINE COMMON-CAUSE / COMMON-INTEREST" Communities, amongst willing Members, on a pure "OPT-IN" basis.

As soon as, we have 1 million registered Members, we will enable them to OPT-IN to such communities, based on predefined grouping-Criteria: eg: - Persons belonging to same CITY - "FUNCTION - "INDUSTRY - "DESIGNATION etc. etc

Alliances/ Coalitions/ Networking/ Aggregation

Currently most jobsites are "stand-alone with no exchange of Content - nor any attempt to "leverage" each others' "strengths". Each jobsite's "sphere of influence" is limited by its own "REACH" (No. of Visitors/No. of Members). There are a few exceptions (like: - Flipside - acting as - Employment 9-11 - "aggregators" (some - Direct employers - with permission/some - Grassroot level - without).

On "Content-Supply" side, we will either spider (download) job advts. from various jobsites or get them to send us their DAILY NEW POSTINGS, as email database, in return for "free" licensing of: - GuruAd - GuruMine (May be pulled as XML from WWJ/Recruitguru). On "Content- Delivery" side, we will enter into agreements with all kinds of DELIVERY CHANNELS (only DISTRIBUTION NETWORK) such as: - Mobile Service Providers - DTH TV Channels (to create a Job Channel) - Interactive TV Channels (to apply online thru remote) etc.

Revenue Model

All jobsites, derive almost all of their revenues from Corporate - clients. 90% from Resume Search, 10% from Job Advt- Posting.

WWJ will completely turn the existing revenue-model (of jobsites) upside down! WWJ will derive all of its revenue from jobseekers only & Nil from corporates.

There is practically NIL revenue from jobseekers. Jobseekers are encouraged to post their resumes (to enlarge resume database) - Which, in turn, attracts employers to "Subscribe" for resume-search. Corporates also "Subscribe" for job-adv posting. Both types of subscriptions are time-based (Monthly/Quarterly/Annual) with unlimited usage.

And the model will be "Pay-per-use" ( for every incoming & outgoing SMS) instead of "Time-related". Basis: - Jobseekers will always outnumber the available jobs, 1000:1 (Hence our revenue-model has a One thousand times leverage-competitive advantage). - For a jobseeker, getting (or not getting) a job, is a matter of LIFE (or of death). For a recruitment manager, filling or not filling a vacancy, does not have the same connotations. - When there are less/few jobs, many more jobseekers will apply against each. If no. of available jobs go up, even then no. of "Apply Online" clicks go up! - Corporates could affect a particular jobsite's revenues if they switch over to another jobsite. In case of WWJ, as long as we remain the only content-provider, It does not matter, If a jobseeker dumps BPL and switches over to TATA, as long as he continues using JAM!

Once a Corporate has filled-up a vacancy, he is not going to re-advertise same vacancy against again! - as long as that post remains filled.

Even after getting a job, a jobseeker will continue his search for a "better" job - during his entire career. He may even keep "applying" to find out what is his current "market-value", so that he can renegotiate his salary! And every 2/3 years, he will genuinely Wish to make a move. Hence a Jobseeker is a permanent, life-time "customer" & therefore a better source of "sustained" revenue. Problem (faced by all jobsites) Was "How to collect hundreds of micro-payments from each jobseeker, on a "Pay-per-use" basis, especially in India, where even Credit-cards are rare?" We are solving this problem by tying-up with mobile-service providers, who will collect the payments and pass on our share to us. BUT, we will also make money from Corporates! - we will relaunch https://www.google.com/search?q=Recruitguru.com (may be by Dec. 2004). - Then write to Corporates that, they can upload their Image Builder resumes (received thru JAM) on Recruitguru, FREE-OF-COST. - But, having created their own/private/secure resume databases on Recruitguru, they will need to pay us for conducting Resume Search using Guru Search. On Recruitguru, we will also introduce following "Pay-Per-Use" services for Corporates: Send out Interview-calls (Email or SMS) Broadcast their JOBS to target-jobseekers (Job Blasting) Create Job Advts. thru GuruAd View "Salary Profiles" / Designation Profile / Tenure Profiles / Population Profiles of millions of JAM Subscribers (Rs. 100/profile) Receive CAM - Candidate Alert Mobiles.

Telemarketing

Despite having sizable databases of resumes (Candidates), no jobsite, currently allows marketers to use this database, for sending promotional emails/SMS, to "Target/Niche" groups.

Our "Terms" (to jobseekers registering for JAM), says that the job-seekers agree to receive promotional emails/SMS, from us or from our "Associates". We will permit/enable, any Corporate (or any other political/social/business organisation or professional body or a trade body), to: Frame/Formulate an email/SMS message on WWJ. Thru "Search", create a "Demographic Profile" of candidates in our JAM database. Then "Blast/Broadcast" their promotional message to this target group, using our email server/SMS server, and pay us Re. 10/ per message. For them this will be - for cheaper than any other media - since the recipients are sharply "targetted". And, for this, we don't need any Mobile-Service Provider! We will ask the concerned marketer, to first deposit the amount on WWJ thru e-payment process and then only render the service.
