Hi Friends,

Even as I launch this today ( my 80th Birthday ), I realize that there is yet so much to say and do. There is just no time to look back, no time to wonder,"Will anyone read these pages?"

With regards,

INTERVIEWERS CONSOLE

 INTERVIEWER’S CONSOLE

As soon as Tele-Operator transfers a waiting candidate to any interview-cabin, the desktop in that cabin will display the details as shown on the dedicated INTERVIEWER’S CONSOLE.
Left side of the screen will get filled up with the details/data about the candidate. Right-hand side is the Interviewer’s WORKING AREA.

Obviously, any assessment/evaluation of a candidate has to be in relation to:

  1. For what position he is being interviewed (Position)
  2. What function he will be expected to perform (Job Advt.)
  3. Where he is likely to get posted (Posting location)
  4. Knowledge of local language/familiarity—roots with that geographical territory/any previous work experience in that region.

So, the interviewer needs these INPUTS for a good judgement.

With headphones, interviewer uses mouse/keyboard to elicit/play answers. Interviewer clicks on NEXT; red light on tele-operator’s panel changes to green, informing the operator that he is now free to receive the next candidate.

Top half of each cabin’s and interviewer’s desktop is identical to what appears on tele-operator’s desktop (including candidate list, backlog) to ensure that there is no loss of time. Premise is even continuous — operator starts interview for one candidate while interviewer finishes for another — keeping all candidates informed and the flow uninterrupted.

TELE OPERATOR’S CONSOLE

  • This console will appear on the desktop of the operator.
  • All 22 cabin statuses will appear on the left side.
  • Status of candidates on hold will appear on the right side.
  • As soon as candidates are on hold, the display will show.
  • Telephone operators will click on the first available cabin for transferring the next candidate in the queue, as per the pre-allotted time given up.
  • As soon as connection is established and the operator ascertains that the candidate is online, she will click a tab/checkbox (next to the candidate’s name) to highlight the name, indicating that this candidate is now being transferred.
  • As soon as any cabin’s communication turns green (indicating the end of interview), the system will transfer the first/longest waiting candidate from the queue. This action will simultaneously transfer the concerned candidate résumé and evaluation sheet onto the desktop of that interviewer. It will also insert the administrator’s name and change values.
  • No gap in candidate transfer: balance of candidates remaining to be interviewed will appear at the end of the day. This will keep the system in interval sync at zero error.
  • By using headphones, interviewer and operator will be able to talk to each other.
  • Interviewer can fill up (online/simultaneously as interview progresses) the Interview Evaluation Sheet by mouse/clicks.

 RELIANCE

For Career Growth, Indian Professional’s First Choice

(Dated: 05/10/03)

To project Reliance’s image as the preferred career destination, we need to create for Reliance an Employer Brand.

Hence, a punchline slogan such as this — which will appear on all Reliance job ads, interview calls, appointment letters, etc. (all HR-related documents accessed by employees/job seekers).
