Hi Friends,

Even as I launch this today ( my 80th Birthday ), I realize that there is yet so much to say and do. There is just no time to look back, no time to wonder,"Will anyone read these pages?"

CLIENT COMPANY PROFILE CANDIDATE PROFILE

GD

16/3/90

I enclose herewith, 2 more forms:

  1. Client Company Profile.
  2. Executive Profile (Draft A & Draft B).

Client-Company Profile:

When I find a suitable candidate/s from my data bank, I must, first, tell them briefly about my Client-company, without revealing its identity. This form, to be filled-in by Client Co. and to be sent to me, serves this purpose. Even if there are 4/5 vacancies from same co. one profile form is enough.

If there is a repeat request (for some more vacancies) after 6/12 months, a new form will have to be filled-in since financial (and other) parameters will have changed.

You will notice that the Company profile is under following sub-headings:

  1. Industry-Profile.

LCG has already developed an "Industry-Code" (as per copy enclosed). your suggestions are welcome.

  1. Product-Profile

BTN stands for "Brussels Tariff Number"

CGOI has accepted this Standard nomenclature for use on all forms connected with exports/imports & statistical compilation).

  1. Location-Profile
  2. Financial-Profile
  3. Organization Profile

EXECUTIVE-PROFILE

Draft A & B are identical except:

In Draft B

a perforated position is provided at the bottom.

Front-page and back-page will be printed on 2 sides of same A-4 sheet. So perforations will separate the bottom

portion which is

"Disclosure Level B".

In the first instance, this portion will NOT be given to client-company, only the top-portion will be given. Of course, both the top and the bottom portion have the SAME Serial No., in order to connect up the two.

On receipt of a YES-Interested nod from client-company, they will be sent a copy of the bottom-portion.

In the beginning, the sheet will be folded at the perforation-marks and a xerox-copy taken out to send to the client company.

[Diagram showing the folding]

Side A - Side B

Folding will have to be done twice - once to get a copy of FRONT SIDE,

and again folded in opposite direction, to get a copy of BACK-SIDE.

I ideal thing would have been to get this form (EXECUTIVE PROFILE) to be filled-in by the Candidate/ Applicant himself and send it to me.

This would save a lot of wasteful clerical work at my end - the work of transferring to this sheet (the profile) the salient data of the Candidate, from his

"CANDIDATE REGISTRATION FORM" (CRF)

But this seems unavoidable for the following reasons:

  1. CRF will be much more exhaustive (almost like L&T's application form) because at a point of time, either myself or the client-company will require ALL the background data of a person.

In any case, a computer print-out cannot be printed, both in the front and in back.

In which case DRAFT A, seems more suitable (since in any case it will be TWO A-4 size print-outs from the computer).

All we need to do, thereafter, is to cut-out, the bottom-portion of Page 2 and file it. Or you may even decide not to print-out the bottom portion at-all since it is already in the computer-memory, and can be printed-out anytime later when you need.

This portion (bottom) should have enough space at bottom where one can enter the names of the client-companies to whom it has been sent - and when!

Part A (TOP) Sent to (Name of Company)

In view of foregoing observations, perhaps Page 2 of Draft A can be stretched out right up to the bottom - and thereby we could provide 2/3 additional horizontal rows for

  1. Educational Profile
  2. Experience Profile

In which case entire Part B (Secret Portion) can come on a third A-4 size print-out page, thereby eliminating need to cut / tear-off.

I would request you to give some thoughts to these forms, so that we may finalize the same next week.

Regards
