Hi Friends,

Even as I launch this today ( my 80th Birthday ), I realize that there is yet so much to say and do. There is just no time to look back, no time to wonder,"Will anyone read these pages?"

HARNESSING KNOWLEDGE OF HR MANAGERS

website

ABHI

REJJI

Take a look. For you, this could be a useful resource.

"MagicWords 3.0 (now with AJAX)" is particularly intriguing - and FUN.

Intriguing because of possibilities behind the concept, which we can exploit to our

advantage.

We have, for a long time wondered, how can we harness (to our advantage),

the enormous KNOWLEDGE possessed by thousands of HR mgrs.

But, unless the process that we may devise to harness their knowledge, becomes

FUN - and challenge to their intelligence - they are unlikely to co-operate with us and unlikely to share their knowledge with us.

So the process has to be FUN -

and intellectually stimulating/challenging.

On top of that, if we are in a position to build into the process, a "Reward", that could be great.

Reward in the form of "Recognition" of the Contributor.

If a HR manager knows that, thousands of co-professionals would see (and hopefully, appreciate), his contribution, then that feeling could be a powerful motivator for him to want to contribute. Every human

being wants "CREDIT/RECOGNITION - public recognition" for what he contributes to the society - for larger good.

He also wants to ensure that someone else does not claim "credit" for something which, really, he has contributed.

Under such "guarantees", he wants to be the FIRST to contribute (the competitive/combative streak which is always present in all human beings).

Now, the question is, "What exactly do we want HR mgrs

to contribute? What knowledge do we want him to share with the World,

the HR co-professionals?"

Let us consider following:

  • In creating "Knowledge Profile", our

software is mimicking the brain of a HR expert.

  • Years of reading thousands of resumes has trained a HR mgrs to pick-up the "Keywords" as he reads the resume.
  • Even as his brain picks-up the keywords, it simultaneously sorts them into
    • Industry Specific keywords
    • Function Specific "
    • Designation-related "
    • Achievement-related "
    • Edu. Quali- "
  • All these "computations" are happening at the sub-conscious level – almost like a reflex. The HR mgr is not even aware that his mind is doing this.

Is there a way/a process, that we can "tap" this knowledge?

You will recall that we did devise a tool, which Anjaria used for 1000 job-advts.

In each advt., he selected Industry specific keywords Function specific "

Then, based on these, concluded that the particular advt. belonged to

ABC Industry

XYZ function

What this software managed to accomplish was to convert Mr. Anjaria's "implicit knowledge into "tacit knowledge.

Now imagine if one thousand Anjarias were to employ this process to define 1,000,000 job-advts or resumes!

That would create an enormous pool of knowledge.

But if you were to ask Anjaria, there was no FUN! (Of course, he got rewarded @ Rs. 10 per job advt.).

It was a tedious/boring/tiring process.

Can we make the process interesting

as follows:

Step # 1

Let HR mgr. paste a resume, without revealing identity/contact info/name of current company. It does not matter even if he pastes full resume (any resume) with ALL details.

$\rightarrow$ Paste Resume Here

Step # 2

Ask HR mgr to click

Extract Keywords

Create Knowledge Profile

Step # 3

Display "Knowledge Profile"

EXTRACTION MAGIC

Step # 4

Ask HR mgr to click button

Remove "Function-Related Words" from this Knowledge Profile

SEPARATION MAGIC

Function-Related Words

| abc, xyz, hijk, lmn,

Balance Keywords

| 123, 456, 789, 101112

To create "Function-Profile Graphs", we have already created separate lists of keywords for each & every FUNCTION. With the help of these, we can separate-out function- related words in a separate box, as shown.

Balance words, will get displayed in a separate box

Dear HR Manager

Do you want to know, which "Function"

does this candidate belong to?

Our AI software, can not only tell you, not only as to which "Function" does this candidate belong to, but it can even show you this graphically! Our software, will not only (SCORE) this candidate's functional knowledge but also (RANK) him amongst other professionals (in our database), who belong to same function.

To see this graphical "Personal Analytics" all you have to do, is to select what you consider to be the most appropriate "INDUSTRY" to which, this candidate belongs. That's all!

Step # 6

Congratulations!

Here are the FUNCTION PROFILES of this candidate

We place this feature/software on all partner websites of GR (Grawn from GR).

Let them bring their own resumes for conversion (if they are placement agencies) OR let ultimate employers bring their resumes,

paste & convert.

We have made the process FUN And, we get HR mgrs to Which Keywords denote

Which Industry Over a period of months/years, we would have captured the implicit knowledge of thousands of HR mgrs!
