Currently there is a lot of talk in the media re: "portability of telephone No."
If the "ownership" of the phone no. is with the user/subscriber, that number need not have to change, every time a subscriber,
→ switches from one service-provider to another service provider
→ switches from landline to cellphone & vice-versa
→ moves/travels from one city to another city or (even) one country to another.
Everyone is forced/obliged to provide him service on the SAME number – number which HE owns!
And because the NUMBER remains SAME, throughout the WORLD and throughout his LIFETIME, he does not have to end up informing his friends/relatives/customers etc., again & again re: new number!
The subscriber has the ultimate power – by not being "locked in." He has no "change-over" cost, in case he decides to change the "service-provider."
Could we, conceivably, give similar "FREEDOM" to jobseekers, thru our Webservice?
for converting email resumes being received by them – then storing these in databases – and then "searching" these, once-in-a-while, using our RESEARCH search-engine.
Now let us imagine a situation, where our Web Server, allots/assigns
PEN (Permanent Executive No.)
to each & every incoming resume being "converted" in RESUMINE, irrespective of the source.
And let us assume that all PEN being allotted are given-out SERIALLY & that each no. is UNIQUE. No duplication.
(I don’t know, how our server can manage this feat, if, at a given point of time, 1000 subscribers are trying to convert 10,000 resumes!)
– as long as the Company/Placement Agency/Jobsite concerned, is our subscriber.
In case, he sends his email resume,
(same/identical) thru multiple “sources”, our software should be capable of “spotting” the duplication & avoid allotting another UNIQUE PEN!
Instead, a message should go out, both to our subscriber & to the jobseeker, saying,
“Dear ______,
Thank you for sending your resume, thru our Webservice Subscriber,
[Name]
We have already received your resume earlier, thru other sources, when we have already allotted/assigned to you, following Permanent Executive Number (PEN)
PEN: [ ]
If enough jobsites become our Subscribers, then, no matter which jobsite a recruiter conducts a "Resume-Search," when he clicks on the "Short Display," he gets to see/view IDENTICAL resume of a given candidate!
[Sketch/Diagram: Resume Text]
We already know that most of the Indian jobseekers have deposited/posted their (identical) resumes on several jobsites (Jobstreet/Jobsdb/JobsAhead/Naukri/Monster etc.).
Due to vastly SUPERIOR features of our RESUMINE & RE-SEARCH, even if we get just ONE (maybe smaller) jobsite to subscribe to our Webservice, others will have to follow suit – in order to keep up! When that happens, our DISPLAY & our PEN in effect become the INDUSTRY STANDARD!
With one/same PEN, a jobseeker can upload his EDITED resume on any website without having to worry on which website he originally posted! Our existing PARTNER WEBSITES program works on this rule.
