Sending E-Mail Job Alerts

Recently you mentioned that many mobile-phone owners have "registered" whose MSP's have not tied up so far.

So they are not receiving job alert SMS

And, while registering, if they have not taken special trouble to find out that we have no deal with their MSP, (\text{and, therefore unable} to deliver SMS),

then,

they would be terribly disappointed!

They might even think,

"This guy (website) is a FRAUD! All it wanted was my data / resume etc"

They may think, we cheated them!

And we have no opportunity to explain to them — why we cannot deliver to them JAM SMS!

In his book (The Engaged Customer), author Brondmo writes:

"According to online Service imperative, your customers will return and engage further if you provide them with value. If they don't come back, it's because you are not meeting their needs or they are no longer interested in what you have to offer."

If, after registering, our customers are not getting any job-alerts, then they will think that we are \text{NOT} meeting their "needs".

They are not concerned with our problems / difficulties / lack of tie-ups!

As far as they are concerned, these problems / difficulties must not come in the way of their getting alerts!

A customer's attitude is:

"Look, I came to you, thinking that you will solve MY PROBLEM - not to listen to \text{YOUR} PROBLEMS!"

Therefore, before many of those who have registered, start thinking this way, we should start

delivering to them \text{EMAIL Job Alerts, daily,} - matching their job-preferences.

Preferably, we should email to them, full job-advts (with email ID / apply online link).

Our covering note (to daily alert) could read:

"Dear Sir/Madam:

In absence of an agreement with your Mobile Service Provider (\text{MSP}), we are unable to send your job alerts as SMS on your mobile. Please bear with us. In the meantime, we will keep delivering to you, these alerts as emails - so that you do not miss out on any interesting jobs. And this service is FREE!

As soon as we have an agreement with your MSP, we will advise you so that you can activate on your mobile."

Sending job-alerts to these people thru email will convince them of the "relevance" of the jobs. Emails are what they are used to / accustomed to. For them, this step will be a gradual / comfortable transition to JAM.
