Job Alert / Vacancy Alert (JAVA)
Functionality / Explanation /
Flow Chart / Alert History
Dear HR Manager / Headhunter /
Recruitment Consultant
Call it VB (Vacancy Broadcast) if
you like.
Just posting a job advt (to
advertise your Vacancy) won't suffice - on any jobsite/jobportal.
In these days of talent-crunch,
you will need to be proactive.
You will need to
Post Job
Select target group of candidates
Broadcast your Job / Vacancy to
them
Job posting is easy. But how do
you find those jobseekers to be targeted? Job posting is easy. But as an
experienced recruiter, you know too well that for filling-up any Vacancy, there
are 3 attributes of a candidate which are most important, viz:
INDUSTRY (in which, he should
have sustained/intensive experience)
FUNCTION/SKILL (Competence in
which would allow him to deliver top performance)
DESIGNATION LEVEL (that would
command respect from peers/subordinates)
To simplify your zeroing in on
your target group, we have organised our resume database in a MAGIC CUBE, whose
3 faces are:
INDUSTRY VS. FUNCTION
INDUSTRY VS. DESIGNATION LEVEL
FUNCTION VS. DESIGNATION LEVEL
Job Alert / Vacancy Alert
(JAVA)
Clicking on any of these links
above, will expose the corresponding database, where each cell of the matrix
will tell you the no. of resumes that we have, corresponding to X $\times$ Y
coordinates.
To send your JAVA to these
candidates, Simply click on that cell.
If a cell is empty, obviously, we
do not have resumes that fulfill those coordinates! But of course, you can
click/select multiple cells from the exposed face of the MAGIC CUBE. When done,
just click the SEND button at the bottom.
If you wish, repeat the exercise
by exposing the Second/Third faces of the MAGIC CUBE. Then come back at your
leisure and look up the resumes of all those candidates who applied against
your job-advt in MY RESUME HOLDER.
Although what you see below is a
true representation of our resume database, it is not clickable. You can do so,
only on FUNCTIONALITY tab, after login and selecting the job/vacancy to be
broadcast.

Rahul
How to capitalize on
- 7 lakh text resumes (with Reena)
- 12 million " " on Naukri
- Resume Parser (www.Sorren.com)
- E-mail extractor
- Resume Rater/Sorter (automating)
- NASSCOM CD
- Windows Live (may enable us to get the
candidate to edit/update his resume on his own $\text{m/c}$ &
simultaneously synchronise OUR database)
This week we plan to
Start processing 7 lakhs using
Resume Rater
* then Transfer Top 700 (Functional Master Folders) / Next
7000 (Functional Sub-Folders)
We hope this will help our
Consultants to quickly zero-in on right candidates (for a given
"Function/skill").
In the process of "Resume
Rating" these 7 lakhs, we will also extract email IDs. After removing
duplicates, maybe we will get 5 lakh UNIQUE email IDs.
As soon as extracted, we must
start blasting to them, email
"Now You have an
Option"
On the $4^{\text{th}}$ rented
machine, we will start the process of extracting CORPORATE EMAIL IDs
from 2,00,000 job-advts on Naukri using Email Extractor
On Reliance Broadband (upgraded
to UNLIMITED upload), we will start blasting
"The New Rule"
to
63000 Corpo. email IDs (now may be gone upto
70,000)
Another 5000/7000 email IDs (extracted during
last 3 weeks from Resume Rater Counter. We had last extracted 13000 UNIQUE
IDs.)
Of course, before that, we should
blast
Burn the Haystack (those who have posted job
advt)
Hesitate No More (those subscribers who have
NOT posted job-advt).
By the time we have finished
blasting
"The New Rule" to 63000
+ 7000 Corporates
&
"Now You have an
Option" to 5 Lakh candidates (out of 7 lakh)
We would have managed to extract
2 lakh Corpo. Email IDs (Naukri)
using Email Extractor and
blasting of "New Rule"
will restart to this group.
In the meantime, we would have
(free) downloaded or bought Resume Parser software.
Of course, if we have to "buy/pay",
then we must FIRST try out actual parsing of some 100/200 Indian
"text resumes". We will "pay" & "buy"
only if we are satisfied.
It is a different method, if the
Software can be downloaded for FREE from some site.
Otherwise, we can insist on a DEMO/TRIAL
Version for 7/15 days.
Even if the Software gives 80%
accuracy, we should buy it - provided price is reasonable and speed
is good - say at least 10,000 resumes/day.
Converting 7 lakh resumes into a
"STRUCTURED DATABASE" is good, only if we have a SEARCH ENGINE which
can quickly search this database!!
I believe SOVREN contains such
search-engine. Pl. check.
Alternatively,
Does FILE FINDER have a
suitable Search-engine?
If so, it would be IDEAL
to parse the 7 lakh resumes & then upload into FILE FINDER itself!
If possible, that would be great!
(But first check with NIRMIT. He
may not want to load 7 lakh resumes in FILE FINDER).
If PARSER succeeds in
extracting accurately,
- Candidate Name
- Current Employer Company Name
- Current Designation
- Email ID
Then, we can seriously consider
- dropping
Resume Search - Archival
- and
- replacing it with
VACANCY - ALERT
See enclosed 3 options.
Why drop "Resume Search -
Archival"? Reasons.
- Right now, we just don't have enough (100,000 at
least) PROFILES on our website
- Offering/displaying TEXT RESUMES (7 lakh), when a
HR Mgr conducts
Resume Search - Archival
is not such a good idea - because
it DILUTES our own concept
"Profiles: The New Currency
of Recruitment"
But we can LEVERAGE, to
our great advantage, 7 lakh PARSED Resumes, by deploying in
VACANCY ALERT
only
- Candidate Name
- Company Name (Current Employer)
- Current Designation (See OPTION #2)
- email ID
When a HR Manager selects
a few of these candidates
(Obviously those candidates who
are
working with his Competitors
and
having the RIGHT designation)
and then clicks
Send Vacancy Alert
button,
We will send following email
alert to the selected candidates.

VACANCY ALERT. OPTION #1
Dear HR Manager
When you post a job (a vacancy),
who do you want to come to know about it?
Obviously, the most suitable
candidates! Executives, most likely to be working with your COMPETITORS.
Now, either you can hope that
they will come and conduct a job-search on this website and discover your
job-advt and "Apply online" (HOPE) OR
You ask us to find them and alert
them about your Vacancy (ACT) Vs. No problem. We will do so.
#1 Just list below your COMPETITOR
Companies
[Box with multiple lines]
[Submit]
#2 After posting your Job-Advt.,
at the bottom, click on
Send Vacancy Alert to Executives
WORKING WITH MY COMPETITOR COMPANIES
Note
- In order for these executives to contact you (-
some of them may be quite senior -), our VACANCY ALERT will carry
your CONTACT INFO
- Of course, you can EDIT adjoining list
anytime you wish.
