How Does It Work?

Global Recruiter is a network of jobsites whose main purpose is to expand/grow the e-recruitment market in India.

Partners of the network will subscribe to the principle of

"Co-creation of Wealth thru Co-sharing of knowledge"

This will be achieved by creating $\rightarrow$

COMMON/CENTRAL pools (databases) of

  • Job Advts getting posted on each partner's website by its Corporate Clients.
  • Resumes getting posted on each partner's website by its Jobseeking Visitors.

These COMMON/CENTRAL databases will become freely accessible to

All Corporates conducting "Resume Search" from any partner website

All Jobseekers conducting "Job Search" from any partner website.

With every partner contributing jobs $\&$ resumes, Global Recruiter Network will soon surpass all others.

Who can become a Partner?

Most eligible to become a partner are existing jobsites who are already engaged in online recruitment activity.

Apart from these, any other website/webportal which is interested in getting into Online recruitment business, can also be considered.

While considering a website's application for partnership, following criteria will be considered:

Nature of Current online business

Offline business (if any)

Level of engagement in Online recruitment (No. of Corporate Clients/size of resume database/years since inception etc)

How do Partners Benefit?

Thru increased income - may be double - may be triple of your Current income.

Once you go out and aggressively market Global Recruiter, your Corporate Subscriptions will double - or triple!

This is so obvious.

If your current "Resume Database" consists of 5000 jobseekers, how many Corporates would want to visit your site to conduct resume-search?

As a partner, you earn as much as you can, and keep everything.

Nor do you share any of your income with any other partner.

In fact, you don't even share any "information" about your income with Global Recruiter.

To prove our bonafides, we have decided that we will not compete with you.

That is why, on Global Recruiter itself you will not find any active/operable User Interfaces, either for Corporates or for Jobseekers.

On Global Recruiter,

A corporate cannot post a job-advt or conduct a resume-search.

A jobseeker cannot post his resume or conduct a job-search.

They can perform these activities from a partner jobsite only. At Global Recruiter, there is only

This feature/service will ensure that your revenue goes up many times because hundreds of Corporate job-advertisers would want to post their Vacancies on YOUR website only.

In the entire world, Global Recruiter is the only network which can offer this service to Corporates - and FREE!

This is how JAB works:

A Corporate posts his Vacancy on your jobsite and clicks

"Please broadcast this Vacancy $\checkmark$ on Mobile-phones of suitable candidates"

Global Recruiter transfers concerned job-advt/broadcast request to

www.World-Wide-Jobs.com [WWJ]

[A sister website of Global Recruiter]

On WWJ, thousands of jobseekers have registered to get suitable/

 

relevant job-alert SMS on their mobiles.

On WWJ, these jobseekers have filled-in their "Job-Preferences"

If your Corporate Client's vacancy "matches" these "job-preferences",

WWJ will match your Corporate client's job-advt with the declared "job-preferences" of thousands of jobseekers - and shortlist a few hundred "Ideal/suitable" candidates.

Earlier, I have said that any jobsite/website which fulfills our eligibility criteria is welcome to become a member of Global Recruiter.

An existing member/partner is also at complete liberty to quit Global Recruiter Network, at anytime, by giving us an email notice of 15 days. For any reason what-so-ever.

However, once you become a partner of Global Recruiter, you cannot join a similar network, as long as you are a partner. This would include any "alliance/co-working/co-branding/co-operating" with any other jobsite/website/portal etc., whether or not such a jobsite/website/portal is a member/partner of Global Recruiter.

Although some jobsites do charge varying amounts for "Resume Blasting" services, we recommend that these too are made "FREE" by partners of Global Recruiter, in order to attract more jobseekers.

Since (perhaps) 95% of a jobsite's revenue derives from Corporate Subscriptions, we propose/plan to QUADRUPLE your corporate subscriptions by offering JOB ADVT. BROADCASTING (JAB) absolutely FREE to your Corporate Clients!

Terms & Conditions

  • Partners agree to abide by the principle of "co-creating wealth thru co-sharing knowledge".
  • Partners agree to pool together, all job-advts and all resumes posted on their respective websites, into a COMMON/CENTRAL database which will reside on the webserver of Global Recruiter and which will be freely accessible to the corporate clients and the jobseekers of all partner websites. Partners agree to make this an ongoing/continuous/automatic process, without creating any hindrance. Partner shall not attempt to modify/alter/truncate/ mutilate any job-advt or any resume getting posted on its website. Partner further agree to pass-on/transfer these postings to Global Recruiter, in their original formats, without hiding, in any manner, either the identity or the contact details of concerned Corporate job-advertiser or jobseeker. In this matter, Partner agrees to co-operate in full with the Global Recruiter staff concerned and agree to abide by their direction/instructions to facilitate easy/quick/complete transfers of job-advts & resumes.
  • If he so desires, a partner may retain on its own webserver, copies of any job-advts or resumes posted on its own website and for any duration. A partner will be free to utilize any such copies, for any commercial purpose.
  • Although Global Recruiter will have no provision on its own website for Corporates to post job-advts and for jobseekers to post resumes, Global Recruiter will be free to exploit commercially, for its own benefit or for the benefit of its Sister websites, all the job-advts and resumes received into the COMMON/CENTRAL pool, from all partner websites.
  • Partner websites will be free to decide/set any subscriptions/fees/charges etc for services rendered to their Corpo clients and their jobseekers. There will be no provision/condition/obligation on partner websites to share any part of their revenue, either with Global Recruiter or with any other partner website.
  • As long as they continue as "Member/Partner" of Global Recruiter, partner website agrees & undertakes not to join/partner/ally with any other website or any other network of websites.
  • Partner websites will not be required to change the "look & feel" of their homepage. Global Recruiter's STANDARD User Interfaces (Job Posting/Resume Posting/Job-Search/Resume-Search etc. etc) will get pulled from the webserver of Global Recruiter and will get displayed as pages of a Partner website.
  • Global Recruiter does not take any responsibility for the accuracy/correctness/authenticity/ up-to-dateness of any content (such as job-advts/resumes etc) in its databases, or in its "display-screens". In turn Partner website shall not promise/guarantee to its Corporate clients or jobseekers, any such accuracy/ correctness/authenticity/up-to-dateness of either job-advts or resumes, pulled from COMMON/ CENTRAL database of Global Recruiter & displayed/ delivered to them.
  • In case of any third party litigation filed against a Partner website, concerned partner website absolves Global Recruiter from any/all legal liabilities, arising from its services/databases.

Learning From Past

If we manage to "learn" from our past mistakes, I don't call them mistakes; I call them

"Learning Experiences"

— because we benefit in next round.

But this is possible, only if you make an in-depth/critical analysis of each & every experiment and ask

* Recruit Guru is purely/ entirely into "online" (e) recruitment, with no brick & mortar operations. It will have following (virtual) manifestations:WWJ (For Candidates)RecruitGuru (For Corporates)GR.net (For both)</li></ul>

* 3P Consultants (offline) Business Model was transferred online viz:Hide Corpo. from CandidatesHide candi. from CorporatesReveal each other's identities ONLY after Corpo. confirms his "Order" on 3P Consultants at 12%-16% etc.</li></ul>3P acted as a "Broker"/ Middleman/Commission Agent

* GR will follow same Business Model which job-sites have been following for several years, viz:Merely act as a platform for Corpo. & Candidates to find each other freely without any obstruction from the concerned jobsite</li></ul>GR will act as a "Enabler"/ "Facilitator"/ Renter of a "Meeting-Hall"

* Once a Corpo. conducted online search & shortlisted candidates (Without knowing their identity/ contact info), then the action shifted to ground (3P's consultants sitting in their chairs). Now these "brokers" coordinated further "Interactions/ meetings" between the Corporates & candidates, kept track of interviews/ appointments/ salaries fixed (in order to raise Invoices on Employers)

* GR will have no "back-office" role. Even partner jobsites will have no back-office role. There will be no attempt/effort to keep track ofWhich Corpo. shortlisted & met how many candidates & whenWhich candidates got appt. letter and joined whom/when</li></ul>

* 3Pjobs was to derive its revenue from each appointment made by each Corporate, Who shortlisted candidates online. Revenue was "Usage"/ "Contingency" based (appointment-based)

* GR will derive NO revenue, either directly from Corporates or indirectly (as commission) from partner jobsites. Even partner jobsites' revenue will consist of "Subscriptions" from Corpo. for (1) Job Posting (2) Resume Search. Subscriptions are fixed amounts for time periods (Q - Annual) etc.

* Revenue-sharing between 3P & partner websites was a Complicated model, requiring extensive/ intricate record-keeping software. (Table depicting revenue sharing matrix) Even though, we developed & installed a complicated & transparent ADMIN TOOL, which can be accessed online by any partner website, I don't think they, either fully understood how revenue-sharing worked OR trusted us, even if they understood it correctly. At that time, such revenue-share concepts were unknown in India

* Partner jobsites will continue to earn their Subscription-revenues from their Corpo. Clients as before & change/ modify these amounts anytime they wish. GR will not even care to know what subscriptions are being charged by partner jobsites & when. As far as GR is Concerned, a partner jobsite may grant FREE access to its Corpo. Clients & we don't care! Our only concern would be that each partner jobsite, manages to get Substantial no. of Job PostingsResume Postings.</li></ul>It is NOT OUR concern, how a partner jobsite manages to pull this trick! If we are dissatisfied with a partner's performance on these counts (over more), we may discontinue their membership!

* Our focus was on "Non-Jobsites" (travel-legal-women sites) etc). We thought they would be anxious/keen to become our partners - and find a revenue-stream. But we forgot thatmost did not have any contact/exposure to Corporatesmost did not know how to go out & sell Subscription (Job Post/Resume-Search) to Corporatesmost did not have any "clue" at all, as to how online recruitment worksmost did not take up this seriously since it was not their "Core" business or competence most dotcoms thought hardwork was unnecessary "evil"! All that mattered was getting "eyeballs" by burning VC money!

* This time, our focus will be on jobsites - smaller/insignificant players in the online recruitment market, but atleast those who under-stand e-recruitment & how it works (business-model) & where one can make money (revenue-model).These will be local jobsites with local Corpo. Clients & small resume & jobs databases. They have only regional exposure to Corporates & jobseekers.They could be small but specializing in online re-cruitment of a "niche" Software Industry (Sampurna)Legal Industry Insurance Hospitality Shipping etc. etc.</li></ul>At little extra effort, they may want to cater to a whole range of Industries. These could be "brick/mortar" placement agencies wanting to move up to "online", as a "complimentary" diversification. Young/energetic/fresh MBA with HR specialization.

* From day one, we were focussed on Revenue-generation & our share.

* Our focus will be on getting job-advts (primarily) and resumes (Secondly). Using these job-advts (for generating JAM), we will make money thru JAM.

* The following features were not thought of or even possible to offer:E-mail alerts to CandidatesJob Advt. Broadcasting (JAB) for CorporatesResume Broadcasting for CandidatesTo Placement AgenciesTo CorporatesAttaching "Function Profile" graphs to text resumes while forwarding to corpo job-advertisers (When candidate clicks "Apply Online")</li></ul>

* These features will be incorporated.None of these features would require a partner to share with GR any revenue that he may derive by offering these features to either Corporates or Candidates.However, we will try our best to convince partners that, at least initially, they must offer all of these features "FREE" (to both Corpo. & candidates), in order to get thousands of Corporates & millions of candidates to start using GR. Building-up a huge "clientele" is FOREMOST priority -</li></ul>

* All partner jobsites pulled & presented (to Corpo. & candidates), only same/identical U/I (Job-Post/Resume Post/ Job-Search/Resume-Search)

* Any partner jobsite would be able to continue using its own/ existing U/I. If a partner jobsite wishes, it can drop its existing U/I and switch over to the STANDARD/UNIFORM U/I available on GR. We believe, this flexibility will attract many small "JOBSITES" to join-up GR. There is always a resistance to "change" and jobsites may not want to "jettison their "historical baggage" immediately. After they have been our partners for a few months - and enjoyed the fruits of partnership - they would be much more amenable to any change that we may suggest.

* There was no way, a partner jobsite could continue using its own/ existing U/I, even after becoming a partner.

* This "mandatory" use of 3P's STANDARD U/I was no problem for "NON jobsites" because they did not have to give up anything in which they might have made financial & emotional investment.

* But jobsites (in the business of online recruitment) felt very uncomfortable

GR

Corporates & Candidates had direct access to 3pjobs.com. They could - Post Jobs / Post resumes - Search Jobs / Search resumes

There will be no "direct access" to either Corporates or to candidates to GR. They cannot "log-in" to GR directly! They can "log-in" to GR ONLY thru a partner website.

So, in a manner of speaking / thinking, 3p was no different from any other partner website - just one of them!

On GR, there will be no job posting / job search / resume posting / resume-search. This will ensure that partners do NOT look upon GR as a kind of "competitor"

To some (potential) partners, 3p might have even appeared as a "competitor"! They might have looked upon 3p's "Partner Website" program as a facade (a false face) behind which, 3p's "real" intention could have been To "USE" them To solely / exclusively "BENEFIT" by using them To make them fully / totally dependent upon 3p

GR will continuously emphasize its role of an "ENABLER" - to enable partners to make more money. GR will keep adding new features whereby partners can make more money. GR will provide a unique platform from which Online Recruitment PIE (market) will grow very rapidly.

Non-Jobsites never thought of corporate-subscriptions as their MAIN/ONLY source of revenue.

Who (which partner) contributes how many resumes, becomes a secondary issue - since there is NO CROSS-SHARING of revenue based on Resume-Search.

They never brought any "Orders/assignments" or even job-advts.

Whether my Corporate-client discovers "my" resumes OR resumes brought-in by other partners, does not increase / decrease the "subscription". It remains the same!

All of them felt / believed that some OTHER partner will bring "Orders" and they will supply the resumes (the candidates).

But, at the same time, any jobsite in Online business is acutely conscious that it is the SIZE of resume database which decides, whether a Corporate will want to pay for Resume-search in the first place.

Hence their focus was on getting "more resumes" only, hoping these resumes will bring them "Revenue-share".

Hence it is in the interest of ALL jobsites to try & get in as many resumes as possible & increase the resume database for everyone's benefit.

Resumes Constituted - and remained - "property" of the partner who brought in.

GR

There was no concept of "Licensing" a technology / Intellectual property / use of databases. etc.

This will be a CORE concept, with ownership of "aggregated" databases (Jobs + Resumes) resting with GR.

There was (perhaps) no "offline" Licensing Agreement

Access to GR will be restricted to "Licensees" only - and only for such period when he/she is a "Licensee" of Recruitment.

After "online" registration (of partners), there will be an offline agreement. This agreement will clearly spell-out that a partner "cedes" (gives up) all "ownership" of job-advts & resumes to GR and will have no claim on the same, now or at anytime in future and that GR may use these job-advts & resumes, for its own private / commercial use, in any manner GR deems fit / proper.

Only sources for Job-Advts & resumes were partner websites (including 3pjobs.com's own database)

"Job-Advts" Sources * Those being down-loaded from various jobsites for purpose of JAM (WWJ) * Those arriving daily from partner jobsites * Those we might someday receive from Newspapers / Magazines * Those which "Corpo-Websites" may donate to GR someday.

"Resume" Sources * Those (4/5 lakh?) received by 3P over last 15 years * Those which we have downloaded / downloading from various jobsites (thru subscription) * Those which will come thru partner jobsites once GR is launched.
