Viral Marketing (Thru
"Refer To Friend")
Amongst all types of marketing,
the "Word-of-Mouth" is the most effective.
Reason
A person, hearing something
nice/good about WWJ from his friends (whom he trusts - and generally wants to "imitate"
/ "conform with"), is more likely to register, than any amount
of tom-tom/self-praise, we may do!
Question
How can we get millions of "friends"
to hear about WWJ from thousands of friends, who are "Early
Adopters" / "Experimenters" / "Pace-Setters"?
How can we start a
Cascade
Wild-fire
Chain Reaction
Copy-cat / imitation
fad / trend / life-style
How can we get our message across
to millions, whose email ID's we don't have?
How can we get the
first-recipients of our message, to push / propagate the message to millions?
And, how can we get these
first-recipients to become our
MARKETING MANAGERS?
These questions are best answered
by asking another question, viz:
WHY would/should these
first-recipient "want" to propagate our message?
What would motivate / inspire
them to propagate our message? (hopefully, without feeling the he is being "used"
/ "manipulated")?
I believe, they (the
first-recipients) would get motivated, if they see/view this, as a kind of
FUN / GAME / EXCUSE
(excuse to call-up friends on a
mobile!)
If, somehow, we can make,
"Refer to Friend"
an "excuse" to
call-up friends, we might succeed.
For the person filling-up "Refer
To Friend", this exercise gives him an opportunity to call-up friends.
For us, it means "Word-of-Mouth"
propagation of our message! - the best way of marketing.
NOW see enclosed revised page
design.
Idea is quite simple.
A person enters (say) 10 email
ID's (of his friends) and clicks SEND.
Immediately, our Online Software
compares these 10 ID's with the 22 lakh in our (Online) database and if it
finds 2 "matches", it shows these 2 in the box below.
Just above the box, we have
provided a "PROMPT" to the surfer
[ Hey, if you already knew about
this site, why the hell, did you
not tell me about it? ]
We don't know what that friend
will reply but our purpose has been served. Word-of-Mouth message has
spread!
The write-up / the box / the "prompt"
etc. are all designed to arouse the "curiosity" of the surfer,
viz:
Which of my friends already might
know about WWJ? WHO, could they be?
So, hopefully, he would enter the
email ID's of as many friends as he can remember - if, for nothing else - than
to find out "WHO"? - so that he can phone them.
There is a "Swarm /
herd" mentality and these youngsters, want to be (always) a part of
the "herd"! They don't like to be left out / "Singled
out". They want to remain "IN / WITH the crowd". They
like to "hang-out together" - even if it is in virtual world!
And with each person using "Refer
to Friend" feature, our
email ID database grows - and -
grows! Hopefully, after a while, 22 lakh may become 32 lakh!
And with each addition, the
probability of finding at least one email ID in the small box, keeps getting
better & better! After all, a person can be a friend of 3 others, who don't
know each other!
In fact, for 4.5 lakh
email ID's (of 3P resumes), we not only have their email ID's, but we also have
their names as well! - which too, we can display in the small box. That
would look very convincing.
Write-Up to be added to
"Refer To Friend" page.

It is possible that some of the
email ID's you enter here, are already in our database of 22 lakh. Then they
would have received our communication and already know about World Wide Jobs.
When you click SEND, their email ID's will get reproduced in the box
below.
Now, you can phone them and ask: "Hey,
why the hell did you not refer this site to me, if you already knew about
it?"
