$\triangleright$ Things mentioned upto $p=5$ of this note are already implemented on our website $\underline{1 \text{ Sept. ' } 99}$.

$\triangleright$ But I still feel, someday, we are able to extend "JOBALERT Auto Job Search" service to NON-MEMBERS, as described on $p=6$ onwards.

My Suggestion is

we extend this feature to cover Normal Jobs / Corporate Jobs (Domestic + Overseas)

ANSWER

Today, when a Candidate submits his resume on our site, after a few days he starts chasing us. He wants to know whether we are doing anything to promote his

resume/profile amongst Corporates. He expects some feedback. He does not know what is "happening" after he has submitted his resume. Our website appears to him like a big blackhole which "sucks" in resumes. It is like "apply, apply, no reply!" syndrome.

$\text{---}$ As of now, we have $\text{no plans}$ to "promote" anybody's resume with any Corporate (client or otherwise).

However,

If we could at least, keep the member $\text{informed}$ that some interesting job-advts are available on our website, two things will happen:

  1. He feels happy that we "care" for him enough to periodically inform him about job-opportunities.

This feeling of "CARE" is very powerful emotion. Not only will we be able to "hook" him for life, he will spread the message amongst dozens of his friends. He will become our BEST ADVERTISER.

(2) To view the full job-advt., he will have to log into our site everytime he gets our e-mail message.

This will dramatically increase the "no. of hits" on our site!

Everytime he returns to our site, he will use/look-up some other services as well.

One more thing

In webform, we have a provision for $\text{E-MAIL}$.

Why not extend it to $\text{NON-MEMBERS}$ as well?"

Q: What do we gain out of extending this service to $\text{NON-MEMBERS}$?

ANS: In return, we get "information/data" about such persons, who might, in course of time, decide to become $\text{MEMBERS}$.

He should be able to go to $\text{HIS}$ page, open it, fill-up the $\text{REMAINING}$ details $\&$ become a $\text{FULL MEMBER}$ $\text{---}$ and get entitled to $\text{MEMBERSHIP PRIVILEGES/SERVICES}$.

Yesterday we talked about the e-mail ("sharing a $\text{Jackpot}$?") which I want to send to $\text{51000 +}$ individuals whose e-mail addresses we have.

In this $\text{Circular}$, I have "proposed" that we will send "matching job-advts details" to those recipients (of my Circular) who

$\text{. NON-MEMBERS}$

  • make available to us some "minimum" contact info. about themselves
  • let us know their "job-search" criteria.

Idea was to $\text{automatically}$ have a $\text{software robot}$ ($\text{auto job search}$?) send them, by $\text{e-mail}$, full copy of matching job-advts when uploaded. Like $\text{door-delivery}$!

This is a (proposed) service which even our $\text{"Members"}$ are not getting today! Under $\text{Auto job search}$, even they have to $\text{visit our site}$ $\text{from time-to-time}$ $\&$ $\text{look-up their "personal" page}$.

If at all, someone "deserves" a door-delivery, they are our "Members"!
