How to harvest Senior Executive Names from www.domain-b.com/PeopleInTheMove

  • We talked about this yesterday.
  • We can develop a tool / spider which visits domain-b website daily and automatically downloads names of senior executives & places these in a Non-Member Database comprising:
    • Executive Name
    • Designation
    • Name of Company
  • These data can thereafter become searchable in Non-Member search tool already available.
  • Possibly such a “Name Harvester” can also work on many other websites which regularly report Executive Track / Executive Movement / People on the Move etc.
  • We will need to develop suitable LOGIC for harvesting.
    Such a logic will be somewhat similar to the logic used earlier for HARVESTER, where we looked for words preceding / succeeding other words such as:
    • “sends”
    • “says”
    • “according to”

 

  • To help us develop such a logic, please get somebody to enter in enclosed sheet data gleaned from domain-b for at least 100 instances.
    In enclosed sheet, I have shown how this data should be compiled.
    You may wish to compile such data directly in an EXCEL sheet & then email to Rehbar.
  • Based on your inputs, we will develop the logic / tool & test it.
    Even if the Name Harvester manages to extract correctly 80% of the times, it will increase our productivity manifold.
    Such a tool could be your “Competitive Advantage” over other Headhunters.
  • How soon can you provide inputs?
  • You may also provide Rehbar with a list of websites where he could test this tool.
