Dear
Mukherjee,
Counselling L&T Executives
I refer to
our visit to Powai to meet Mr. Vivek Mehta and our subsequent discussions.
In this
connection, I enclose a folder, with a request to quickly glance thru its
contents (Especially the ANNEXURES) before you meet these executives on
Saturday, August -11. Your
meeting-Schedule is incorporated in the folder.
At the end
of each meeting, please provide for 5 minutes to fill-in an Interview Evaluation
Sheet (Sample enclosed) for each executive. Please feel free to phone me for
clarifications needed, if any.
With
Regards,
Hemen

where, we should reveal identity of our client
-
Perhaps
such a statement is reading available in OES ( or can be compiled using basic
data available in OES)
Why should
we include a statement of “Our own current pending vacancies” in the folder
to be given to L&T executives?
1. If one of them thinks he is suitable
for any of these vacancies, he could contact us. This is the “SUPERFICIAL” objective!
2. But, he could talk to some of his
other colleagues ( who are not offered VRS) if he thinks one of them may be
suitable / interested in those positions.
Idea is to “Spread the Message”!
VIRAL - MARKETING!!
3. Such a list may give “ideas” to
Vivek Mehta himself! He could start identifying “not so excellent” performers
against our vacancies-those whom, he may be considering in SECOND ROUND of VRS!
They maybe better than the first lot!
4. Such a consolidated, ready-made list
would certainly help AMB/HCP/ Mr. P.K. Mukherjee, while talking to L&T
executives.
5. Nirmit may “Consider” Circulating
such a statement to HR Consultants / other Exe-Search firms/ other “jobsites”
to recommend “executives” ( on a fee sharing basis)
6. Some 30 placement agencies have
already tied-up with us (under our Partner Program).
We could consider circulating such a statement ( thru email of course)
to those agencies, asking them to send us resumes of suitable executive
registered with them. They should send thru OFFLINE RESUME ENTRY CD (Sent to
them) Only let us resort to “NETWORKING”.
7. Under the guise/pretense of our
“desire to help-out” , we could “email” this statement to HR Managers of those
companies, who are reported to be “downsizing” their managerial staff!
This is a very “Legitimate” & “honorable” objective to which, they
cannot find fault!
Once such a statement (E-mail) reaches a company’s mail-box, it is found to be “copied” & got circulated” like wild-fire!! – Prompting “good” candidates to approach us.

Ø If we are able to organize the
seminar well – and impress L&T- we would have got an excellent “starting”
reference.
This would help us to
-
Offer
same package to other units of L&T
-
Offer
similar package to other companies going thru the process of “down-sizing”
Ø In future, we could conduct such
seminars, entirely on our own
OR
Conduct in “collaboration / Co-branding” with organisations such as
·
NIPM
·
Indo
American Society
·
CII
·
Bombay
Management Association
·
FICCI
·
Indian
Merchants Chamber
·
ASSOCHAM
·
BCCI
Etc. etc.
In case of such “co-branding” we have to prepare a detailed list of
“COSTS” such as.

To be borne
by |
|
Total
Cost |

3P |
- |
Hall
charges |

In such
“Co-branding” cases, it would be necessary to
-
Fix
“Per Participant” fees (depending on VENUE)
-
“Break-Even”

of participants to be targeted, depending upon,
-
Private
Affair ( all participants from same Company)
-
Public
Affair (Participants “sponsored” by a no. of companies)
We should
also consider whether, we should allow participation by executives who are NOT
sponsored by their current employers. This ((decision) is important,
considering that a large no. of executives, who are no more “in employ”, may
also want to attend / benefit from such seminars.
Ø We must prepare, for every
subject/topic, a list of 5/6 speakers, who will “Speak” in rotation.
“CHAPTER” OF P.K. MUKHERJEE
Ø Prepare folders for handing-over to
Executives.
(one-time activity)
Ø Get “Speakers / Session-Guides” to
prepare (and get approved), their

presentations (if any)
Ø Conduct a “Rehearsal” (full day) of the
seminar & give “feedback” to all speakers / session-guides
Ø Get each participating executive to
fill-in a “Self-Assessment” Sheet.
Add to this, own “assessment” Notes
(These sheets will form part of folder to be submitted to L&T, at
the end of the Project)
Ø Prepare “Folder” for handing-over to
L&T.
Ø Look-after physical arrangements
& Co-ordinate with L&T personnel.
Ø Overall Co-ordination.
