Hi Friends,

Even as I launch this today ( my 80th Birthday ), I realize that there is yet so much to say and do. There is just no time to look back, no time to wonder,"Will anyone read these pages?"

With regards,

SAVING TIME

Saving Time

(-and Cost too!)

One of the USP (Unique Selling Proposition) of WWJ/JAM is that

  • it saves the jobseeker, time & cost.

How can we prove our "claim"?

Let us try following "experiment".

Let us choose following "search-criteria/ search parameters/ job-preferences":

  • City = Mumbai
  • Function = Sales
  • Level = Manager
  • Exp = 5 years

Enter these criteria in 4/5 jobsites and count the "no. of results" (i.e. no. of job-adverts) returned. Possibly these could be:

  • Monster 238 jobs
  • Naukri 145 "
  • JobsAhead 89 "
  • timesjobs 193 "

Hypothetical figures, assumed by me.

But, what is the "implication" [to our USP], if the actual results that you find in this experiment, come out "fairly close" to the hypothetical figures shown above?

OR

If "actual figs" are even worse (larger nos.) than the hypothetical figs?

Implication

Our USP gets FIRMLY established!

We are in a position to "prove" [factually] that JAM does save a job-seeker, a hell of a lot of time (-and surfing cost) - the time he would need to spend - EVERYDAY - if instead of JAM, he was to visit above-mentioned jobsites everyday, and conduct a job-search, by entering his "job-preferences".

How can we "PROVE" our point?

As soon as a person registers on WWJ and fills-up his "job-preference" form - and submits, the following message will FLASH:

Dear Jobseeker

Thank you for submitting your "Job-Preferences".

If you were to conduct job-searches on various jobsites, using the SAME job-preferences, you would need to go thru/ study following no. of "Search-Results":

JobSearch conducted on

No. of Job-Adverts (Search-Results) you would be presented with

Monster

238

Naukri

145

JobsAhead

89

timesjobs

193

Total

665

It would take you many hours, to go thru the results and narrow down to 5/10 adverts, which "match" your needs in all respects.

Since you have registered here, you will get (as Job-Alert-SMS), only 5/10 perfectly matched jobs, everyday.

You will save MANY hours of your precious life-time (-which is irreplaceable!).

We could also consider such a message as "Job Alert Preview" page!

We would have proved our point MOST DRAMATICALLY.

VERY URGENT.

  • I believe it is absolutely essential for SUCCESS of JAM that, right at the beginning, a jobseeker Visiting our Homepage, gets to view a JAM sample (Along with corresponding full job-advert). It is this "personal experience" that will convince him to register.

And he should be able to "experience" JAM, even before he has read the Homepage!

  • So, let us change "View Job Detail" box writeup as shown above - and place it on Homepage $\&$ other pages.
  • Clicking will take him to "JAM Sample" page. (Which would replace existing "View Job-Details & JAMMERS" page $\&$ as shown attached).
  • 0507 This will get automatically changed on $1^{st}$ of each month (-and of course 0601, in Jan 2006).
  • Once, we are downloading more than 9999 job-adverts daily, we can say "any 4 digit no".

JAM Sample.

Dear Jobseeker

Do you want to know

  • How a job-alert SMS will look like on your mobile?
  • Whether your job-alert captures the "essential" information which you need - at the minimum - to enable you to decide whether to apply or not?
  • Whether the job-alert correctly/accurately captures these info - by comparing JAM with full/ original job-advert?
  • Whether job-alert represents an "authentic" alert?

To satisfy yourself, just enter any 3 DIGIT NO. in the box below and click GO.

Seeing is believing!

Enter Job-Code [0507] (3 digit no) [GO]

Salary Vs Age

A scatter plot is shown with Annual Salary (Rs/Year) on the Y-axis and Age (Years) on the X-axis, ranging from 22 to 60.

  • Y-axis scale: 0 to 1400000 in increments of 100000.
  • A positive linear trend line is drawn through the data points, suggesting salary generally increases with age, though there are significant outliers, especially in the 48-60 age range where some points are above 1000000.

SALARY vs DESIGNATION_LEVEL

A scatter plot is shown with Annual Salary (Rs/Year) on the Y-axis and DESIGNATION_LEVEL on the X-axis, ranging from 0 to 5.

  • Y-axis scale: 0 to 1200000 in increments of 100000.
  • Legend:
    • 0 - Trainee
    • 1 - Executive / Officer
    • 2 - Manager
    • 3 - General Manager
    • 4 - Director / Executive Director
    • 5 - Managing Director / CEO
  • A strong positive linear trend line is drawn through the data points, indicating a clear increase in salary with higher designation level. The data points lie very close to the line, with the exception of the point at level 4.
