Nitin / Shuklendu, Note highlighted comments. As far as "Target Completion Dates" are concerned, these must be religiously adhered to. I suggest Nitin show me the actual progress thru TeamViewer, now and then, whenever something is worth showing. This will ensure minimum Re-Working at a later date. hcp

Shuklendu - Resume Blaster (Enclosed Note) - 25-11-2012

In the beginning of this year, when Resume Blaster was concerned, I had offered to Sentient Systems, following share of Ad-Revenue earned by RecruitGuru:

  • First Year -> 10%
  • Second Year -> 5%
  • Third Year -> 0%

Upon fulfillment of following conditions, I am willing to enhance this as:

  • For Year 2013 -> 15%
  • For Year 2014 -> 10% (Calendar Years)
  • For Year 2015 -> 5%
  • NIL % thereafter.

Conditions:

  • Target Launch Dates (After Ad Network Integration / Upload):
    • Resume Blaster (Industry Wise) -> 12 Dec 2012
    • Resume Blaster (City Wise) -> 30 Jan 2013
  • Features to be incorporated:
    • As listed in enclosed note, including "Cookie" and "Your Friends online are (SCREEN) Message", and various statistical counters, and some email messages to go out (as emails) from our server to all contact lists.
    • We must also upload 5.9 Lakh Company Records sent.
  • Continuous maintenance/enhancement of Widgets.
  • This must NOT affect maintenance of Customize-Resume website.

I await your confirmation. (Signature)

Shuklendu - Resume Blaster - 25/11/2012

In march, you had given me screenshots of Resume Blaster. I do not envisage any changes in the process-logic and the no. of screens designed then.

Enclosed find fresh screen-designs, which are largely cosmetic improvements and a little bit of change in write-up. Only interesting improvement is introduction of "Statistical Counters" on pgs. 1/2/4.

I consider display of these counters in the nature of "self-fulfilling prophecy"! If I am a user of Resume Blaster, I would be very very "curious" to see if these counters do change, consequent to my different "actions". That curiosity will prompt me to do different things on different screens.

Of course, I do not know whether technically, it would be possible to show—and dynamically update these counters. Once-a-day may be enough for "Totals".

scan0005.jpg

But we must not give up, even without trying.

Now, from the very beginning!! Down-the-line (maybe after 4/6 months), possibility of being able to start a "VIRAL BUZZ" is simply MIND-BOGGLING!

26/11/12 - Eg:

  • Our cookies will pick up all details from the "Contact List" of each user and store in:
    • a) a common database
    • b) a user-related database.

NOW imagine following scenario:

  • Ajay Phathak has logged in thru Resume Blaster.
  • We (our server) has full "Contact List" of Ajay Pathak's mobile (Mobile No.) etc.
  • Our server "detects" that, from this contact-list, two other guys have also logged in (into Resume Blaster), Viz:
    • S. Mehra
    • Manish Trivedi
    • [or even logged in ONLINE?]

scan0006.jpg

On pg #5 (Advt. Place Holder), a message keeps flashing as follows:

"Dear Ajay: At this very moment, following of your friends have also logged in: S. Mehra, Manish Trivedi"

And of course, S. Mehra & Manish Trivedi, too, will get similar messages. Will they be amazed? You bet!

It could be devastating! They will talk to each other (VIRAL BUZZ) and wonder how Resume Blaster came to know. They will "encourage/motivate" their other friends (on their respective CONTACT LISTS) to register on Customize Resume and log-in thru Resume Blaster, just to see if the names of these friends, too, appear in the message! "Curiosity" working for us!!

scan0007.jpg

"Statistics — All Users" (Page 1)

  • I presume these can be displayed ONLY AFTER a user logs in.
  • Till he logs in, the counters will remain blank (although visible).
  • It is possible that (at least) some users may (repeatedly) login just to see the "changes" in these counters.
  • As far as "Nos Logged In" and "Resumes Sent" are concerned, I do not wish to differentiate between logins/sent thru widget and online use.

In fact, as a result of this "simplification," from day ONE (of launch), we will get to see:

  • Resumes Sent
  • Total so far: 306,407 — a very impressive fig. for day ONE!

scan0008.jpg

"Your Own Statistics" (Page 4) Resumes sent by you:

  • Total so far: [ ]
  • Today: [ ] -> Should this read "In this session"? That may be easier to track.

Statistics on Page #2

  • Total No. of Companies: [ ]
  • No. of Companies in "Advt / PR / Publicity": [ ]

These will remain same throughout the day once RSS tool has updated the database. If there are points for discussion, I can visit your office. (Signature - 25/11/12)

scan0009.jpg

26/11/12 For a truly "WOW" experience, consider following screen. This replaces "flashing of a message". And it will be shown only as a "REWARD" to a user who touches/views and "closes" a product advt delivered by InMobi. He can move on to the NEXT 10 JOBS only from this screen, even if no "contacts" are listed.

In fact, if none of his contacts are shown, he may even tell one of his friends to register and login thru RESUME BLASTER, just to see! Enabling to "dial" is to start a VIRAL BUZZ.

[UI Mockup: RecruitGuru/6 - Contacts Online] "Dear Ajay, Following of your contacts have used Resume Blaster. Just touch mobile no to dial/talk to them, to share your experience."

Mr. Suneet Singh Tuli

Datawind

Dear Suneet,

  • Enclosed find screen-shots of “Resume Blaster” widget.
  • This widget is ready for integration with an Ad Network of your choice.
  • This is to request you to pre-install “Resume Blaster” on all Aakash 2 / Ubislate 7 tablets, along with “My Jobs” widget.
  • My proposal, justifying this request is enclosed.

With regards,

Hemen Parekh

scan0018.jpg (Why? - Page 1)

Why?

  • Foremost, every registered jobseeker may NOT have matched job alerts; So, “My Jobs” widget is of no use to him.
  • This will be especially true of FRESH GRADUATES, in whose resumes, there is very little to “match”!
  • They have:
    • NO Industry
    • NO Experience
    • NO Functional background
  • Every year, some 3.5 million fresh graduates are coming out of colleges in India. They want a job in:
    • Any Industry
    • Any Function
    • Any City
    • At any salary
    • Any job at all

scan0019.jpg (Why? - Page 2)

  • “Resume Blaster” will enable them to apply (forward their resumes) to some 58,000 + employer / recruiters without bothering whether they have vacancies or not.
  • There will be 2 versions of “Resume Blaster” Viz:
    • Industry wise
    • City wise
  • Jobseekers (fresh graduates) from rural areas / small towns, wish to find a job, in their own town or nearby city. Resume Blaster will enable to let them apply to companies located in such nearby towns.
  • Widget frees them from the tyranny of PC / Broadband, since it will be pre-installed on tablets.

scan0020.jpg (For Whom?)

For Whom?

  • As explained earlier, Resume Blaster is primarily intended for FRESH GRADUATES.
  • But it will prove even more useful to students who have only passed $10^{th}$ standard / $12^{th}$ standard, who are looking for jobs nearby.
  • Millions of such $10^{th}$ standard / $12^{th}$ standard students who are about to receive FREE or subsidized Aakash Tablets, will immediately start using this widget.
  • Even experienced professionals, who get very few job-alerts through “My Jobs” widget, will also use Resume Blaster.
  • Even those who get lots of job-alerts (thru “My Jobs” widget) will find Resume Blaster, very convenient for choice of:
    • Companies
    • Cities

CONCEPT OF VIRTUAL INTERVIEW CABINS

Shuklendu
www.OnlineJobsFair.com
08 Nov. 2012

  • We have already booked this URL

  • Enclosed, find my drafts for:
    • UI
    • Concept Note
    • FAQ
    • Process Flow Chart etc.

  • A few things remain, such as:
    • Terms & Conditions / List of Messages
    • Metatags / Counters etc.
which are low priority – can be done later

  • After you / Nitin had time to study these pages, pls. list your questions (some of which may not have even occurred to me). Then, I can visit your office for discussion.

  • I am sending a copy of this to my ex-L&T colleague (also ex-RecruitGuru), Inder Sethi, who was deeply involved in creation of my earlier job-portals.

  • I would like to launch this site on 15 April 2013
    (3P Founders Day)

Concept of "VIRTUAL INTERVIEW CABINS"
(VIC/1)

  • Any ground-based, physical facility for interviewing has limitations of “space.”
Some big companies do have 3/4 interview cabins in their Recruitment Dept. (L&T had 3, at one time)

  • Sometimes, interviews for different positions are going on in different cabins.
But, occasionally, interviews for SAME position are going on simultaneously in all 3 cabins, e.g.:
    ➤ Data Entry Operators
    ➤ Machine Operators
    ➤ Graduate Engineer Trainees
    etc.

  • When a very large number of suitable applicants have to be interviewed, in such a case, multiple “Interview Panels” are constituted.

  • Candidates are NOT assigned to any particular Interview Cabin / Interview Panel.

  • All candidates come in, register with the receptionist and wait in the waiting hall.

(VIC/2)

  • As soon as an interview gets over in any particular cabin, panel member presses the green button on the wall, and a green light comes up above the door of that cabin, indicating it is ready to receive the next candidate.

  • As soon as Receptionist notices this green light (Annunciator) on cabin, she directs the next (scheduled) candidate to that cabin.

  • Idea is:
Interview Panel’s “time” is the most precious “resource,” and must not be wasted.
    So,
who-so-ever (of the scheduled) candidate is present, is pushed into the cabin!!

  • Physical cabin space is also precious.
It must be used to the max. limit.
It must not remain “Unoccupied,” even for a minute!

  • But, in a virtual world, it is a very different situation.

VIC/3

  • There is no "space" constraint!
Any number of VIRTUAL CABINS can be instantly "created" and "allotted" to any number of "Interviewers".

  • Only limitation is:
For interviewing a large number of suitable candidates for any given vacancy, how many "interviewers" can one find/assign to conduct interviews simultaneously in different VIRTUAL CABINS?

  • Hence, "cabins" can be created depending upon the "No. of Interviewers" available, at a given point of time.

  • Of course, if an employer is not in a great hurry to fill up the vacancies, he can choose to spread out the interviews over a number of days, with just ONE Interviewer.
(Maybe, I forgot to provide for this particular scenario in my UI for allotting "Interview Dates" (i.e., more than one date). UI will need to be modified to take care of this.)

  • Now, in a Virtual World, there is no receptionist to "guide" a waiting candidate to enter (say)
    • A cabin, or
    • B cabin

VIC/4

  • I am sure, it is only a matter of time before a VIRTUAL RECEPTIONIST (an AVATAR-like software), can do this efficiently.

Till such time:

  • Employer/Recruiter will need to "pre-assign" different Cabin Nos. to different SETS (Groups) of candidates.

  • Recruiter will also assign these Cabin Nos. to his own several interviewers (if interviews have to take place simultaneously).

(Diagrams below show examples)

Interviewer: Pradip Mhatre
→ Cabin 123
→ PEN 43864 (Patel)
→ PEN 23947 (Panchal)
→ PEN 84366 (Dighet)

Interviewer: Raghavendran
→ Cabin 463
→ PEN 12124 (Ajay)
→ PEN 32633 (Venkat)
→ PEN 89184 (Sharath)

VIC/5

  • Assigning / Creating "VIRTUAL CABINS"
Easiest thing (for software) is to keep assigning the "NEXT" Number

Disadvantage:

  • After 3 years, that "NEXT" Cabin No. could well be:
    CABIN NO: 2369483
Very difficult for either candidate or recruiter to remember/enter in some UI, to connect up.

Alternate Method

  • Let software create 1000 cabins, numbered 1, 2, 3, ... 1000.

  • Out of this inventory, assign whichever "Number" is FREE at the moment.
Obviously, out of 1000 cabins, some are bound to be FREE when recruiter is scheduling Interview Date / Generating Interview Time Schedule (using ADD CABIN button); much like ADD EDU. QUALL. button in Submit Resume.

Cabins are getting FREE all the time — and getting OCCUPIED, again & again.
