How to Promote Our Website Amongst Jobseekers

Main Problem:
In absence of funds, our biggest problem is that we cannot ADVERTISE / PUBLICIZE our website through traditional media such as:

Newspapers

TV
-
Online Ads
-
Hoardings etc.
✅ Only method available = Sending promo emails to a database of jobseekers' email IDs.
We already have:

A database of ~3 lakh email IDs (used for past 2-3 years)

Very little response from this batch.
✅ This week, we purchased (Rs. 4,000):
Email database of 70 LAKH jobseekers from a Nashik party (3 CDs enclosed)
👉 Apart from emails, this database contains structured information like:
-
Name
-
DOB
-
Education
-
Job Function / Industry
-
Phone etc.
Almost everything we try to capture in our Jobseeker Registration (Basic + Detailed).

✅ We could extract these 70 lakh emails and send usual promo invites to register on our site.
BUT
Instead, we propose a better approach:

Look at the “Mapping / Comparison” between:

Our “Jobseeker Registration” database

70 lakh CD database

✅ In the 70 lakh CD: we already have almost all required fields
🛠️ Action
Upload 70 lakh records into our online jobseeker database, and generate:

70 lakh “Edit Resume” pages

70 lakh “Edit Detailed Resume” pages
Note: Initially these pages will be missing:

PEN
-
TEXT Resume
-
User ID / Password
-
Some missing or wrong fields

Sent to candidate when record is added to our database
They click a link, which takes them to:
Their “MY EDIT” page
Where they see data uploaded from backend
📨 Email prompts user to:

Complete “MISSING” data

Edit “WRONG” data

Upload TEXT resume

Select User ID / Password
-
Click SAVE & CONTINUE
❗Problem:
Neither “Edit Resume” nor “Edit Detailed Resume” pages allow UserID / Password entry.
➡️ Solution Needed:

Should we assign User ID / Password ourselves and include in promo email?

🖊️ Once candidate completes EDITING → PEN gets allotted
Then, on Jobseeker Registration Page he sees:
"Latest Candidate Registered"
(Also on “Latest Resumes” page?)
✅ This reassures him that record is accepted
He can now:

Use Job Suggest

Receive Resume Blast

Start applying for jobs
💡 Question:
Will “My Job Alert Page” also get created at this stage?
✅ If our email drives even 10% click-through from 70 lakh candidates, we win a major battle:
Bringing jobseekers to our site!

This amazes them and nudges them to complete missing fields.
🔍 In CD: field called “Candidate ID No”
Suggests data may have been pirated from Naukri (via insider)
✅ As for Functions and Industry in resumes:

👉 If records are from Naukri, we've already mapped them to our master.

🎯 Hence, converting "fields" in 70 lakh CDs to our MASTERS is feasible.
⚠️ Records without email IDs = USELESS

But still may leave 60 lakh usable records

Which is far more than any Indian job portal!
