Resume Search / City‑wise

Background

We discussed this briefly during my visit to your office last Friday.

This morning, Google gave us following ranks:

Search Term | Google Rank

Jobs Archive | 7 / 2.1 Billion

Resume Archive | 20 / 225 Million

Job Search & Resume Search | Not in first 10 pages!!

Apparently, Google does not “link/relate” our website with search terms “Job Search” or “Resume Search”!

So, we need to create additional pages with titles:

▷ Job Search

▷ Resume Search

And, construct these pages in such a manner that Google spider is able to crawl and index,

▷ all of our jobs

▷ all of our resumes

Enclosed: find UI of pages,

▷ Resume Search – City‑wise

▷ Job Search – City‑wise

Many job‑portals do have such “CITY‑WISE” search pages or listings.

You may ask Nitin/Rahul to take these up, after current priorities (sent last week) are over.

In the meantime, we have purchased COMPANY DATABASE (approx. 20 L → 25 L companies) from one Jayesh.

This database contains:

▷ Company Name

▷ Street Address

▷ City Name

▷ Email ID

▷ Industry‑Names {which will need to be “mapped” with our Ind. Names}

In this COMPANY DATABASE there are hundreds of “City-wise” files. But arrangement of columns differ from file-to-file.

So starting today, Tushar has started copy/pasting all the files into new excel sheets with STANDARDIZED columns, with same sequence.

Hopefully, this job should get over in 2/3 days.

Then, we will be able to use this database for:

• Current “Blast Your Resume” page

• “Resume Blaster” widget

• Job Search / Citywise page
  (which is replacing my earlier note/UI of “Jobs in My Street ?”)
